Ophidia Velvet Dungarees

The Ophidia Dungarees take the ease and utility of an artist's workwear and turn it into something altogether more extraordinary. Cut from incredibly soft, four-way stretch velvet, their sweeping silhouette becomes the canvas for an original Solai artwork ~ one that seems almost to come alive as it moves across the body.

Serpentine forms sprawl, twist and entangle across the fabric, drawing the eye through layers of sweeping lines and shifting detail. Against the fluid velvet, the artwork takes on a sense of constant movement, while exaggerated balloon legs ripple and billow with every step.

There is something deliberately utilitarian beneath all of this: an easy elasticated waist, oversized functional pockets and fully adjustable dungaree suspenders give them the feeling of an artist's uniform. Decorative metal eyelets punctuate the fabric, adding another layer of texture and intrigue.

Style them loosely with a simple top and flats, or take them somewhere entirely different ~ over a bodysuit or blouse with heeled boots, allowing the volume, artwork and unusual proportions to take centre stage.

CARE

To preserve the softness of the velvet, printed artwork and metal detailing, wash with care.

Gentle machine wash at 30°C, preferably inside a laundry bag. Wash with similar colours. Do not bleach. Do not dry clean. Do not tumble dry. Reshape and air dry. Iron on the reverse at a low temperature without steam, avoiding the metal hardware.

For the longest life of your garment, we recommend washing only when necessary.
