The Tenebra Velvet Dungarees are an exploration of fluidity, volume and movement. Crafted from exceptionally soft recycled stretch velvet, their dramatic balloon silhouette falls in deep, flowing folds, rippling and catching the light with every movement. The effect is almost liquid, as shadows and highlights move across the fabric like moonlight dappling the surface of a dark lake.

The Tenebra Dungarees are designed to become one of those pieces you find yourself reaching for again and again. The velvet is wonderfully soft against the skin, with generous four-way stretch that makes them as comfortable for lounging at home as they are for heading out into the world. Pair them with a simple top or jumper for an effortless everyday look, or dress them up with a sheer blouse, sculptural top and heeled boots for an evening out.

An elasticated waist gives way to exaggerated, generously gathered legs that taper at the ankles, creating a beautifully rounded silhouette. The adjustable velvet shoulder straps offer different ways of wearing them: pulled over the shoulders in a traditional dungaree style, or left to drape loosely alongside the hips for a more relaxed, deconstructed look.

Large functional pockets lend a subtle utilitarian quality, while scattered decorative metal eyelets introduce little flashes of light and texture against the darkness of the velvet.

Recommended Care

Machine wash inside out at 30°C on a gentle cycle, preferably in a laundry bag to protect the decorative eyelets. Do not bleach or dry clean. Air dry naturally; do not tumble dry. If necessary, iron on the reverse at a low temperature without steam, avoiding the metal details and protecting the velvet pile.
